Transferring Thunderbird emails to Gmail involves multiple steps, including configuring Gmail for email import and exporting your emails from Thunderbird. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do this:

Step 1: Configure Gmail for Email Import:
Log in to your Gmail account.
Click the gear icon in the upper right and select "See all settings."
Go to the "Accounts and Import" tab.
In the "Check mail from other accounts" section, click "Add a mail account."
Enter your Thunderbird email address and click "Next."

Step 2: Set Up Import Options:
Choose the import options:
"Import emails from my other account (POP3)" should be selected.
Click "Next."

Step 3: Enter Your Thunderbird Email Settings:
In the "Username" field, enter your Thunderbird email address.
In the "Password" field, enter your Thunderbird email password.
In the "POP Server" field, enter the incoming server for your Thunderbird email. You can usually find this information in your Thunderbird account settings.
Configure other options such as Port and whether to use SSL.
Click "Add Account."

Step 4: Choose What to Do with Imported Mail:
You'll be prompted to choose what to do with the imported emails. Select "Keep Gmail's copy in the inbox" or another option based on your preference.
Click "Add Account."

Step 5: Verify Your Thunderbird Email:
Gmail will send a verification email to your Thunderbird email address.
Log in to your Thunderbird email account and look for the verification email. Follow the instructions to verify the account.

Step 6: Export Emails from Thunderbird:
Open Mozilla Thunderbird.
Select the email folders that you want to export to Gmail. You can do this by right-clicking on a folder and selecting "Export As" or "Save as File." Choose the .eml format.
Save the emails to a location on your computer.

Step 7: Import Thunderbird Emails into Gmail:
Go back to Gmail.
Click "See all settings" and go to the "Accounts and Import" tab.
In the "Check mail from other accounts" section, click "Check mail now." Gmail will start importing emails from your Thunderbird account.

Hope This Helps,
Peter
